Ms. Kathy Ashe is a Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) Worksite Supervisor here, at the Youth Services Center (YSC) for the SYEP interns. Ms. Ashe was asked a couple of questions for this blog.
Q: What do you do as a Summer Youth Employment Coordinator?
A: "Ensure that the SYEP interns' assignments are meaningful and enjoyable. Additionally, I plan youth workshops and training sessions to assist in developing the intern skills and enhancing their existing abilities. Lastly, make sure that the interns get paid."
Q: What is something that people don't know about you?
A: "That I collect shoes."[laughs]
