109 years young Never Looked Better

Many people in the world wish they can go back and change the hands of time, some may just want to fast forward their lives, and others just want to keep their life as is. But one lady has seen it all and her name is Ms. Eddye Williams, she is 109 years old. It is a blessing that someone gets to live as long as she has. People search for the fountain of youth, but Ms. Williams clearly has found it, proving that as you age it just makes you more graceful. Ms. Williams' home is beautifully picturesque. It is a cherry red brick house with a bright pearl white door, a side den, a cemented pathway leading up three steps to the doorway, and a green apple lawn with colorful flowers that brightened up the entire home.

The young men from New Beginnings were also in awe of Ms. Williams. They mowed her lawn throughout the summer, and made sure her hedges were trimmed. Channel 9 news was there to capture the memorable moment, and interviewed Mr. Vincent Schiraldi, Director of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS). The Summer Youth Employment Program Interns, Charmaine Dudley and Landra Anderson, were also interviewed. They were very excited to share how this moment felt for them.

Being there to witness a lady like Ms. Williams made me realize there is no need to rush being older, but that I can appreciate the youthfulness that I have and just enjoy life. I hope that I may be as elegant as Ms. Williams when I get older. I do not mind aging if living past 100 means I have the opportunity to witness the world's evolution, and having a quaint dream home like hers. I don't mind dreaming to be old anymore. It's not as scary as it appears.
